After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue offering raw milk. This decision has only been made in recent weeks. Our dairy cows have been sold and rehomed at another farm to calve and be milked.
Since September 2017, providing fresh raw milk to our community has been a labour of love. However, sustaining this side of our business is no longer feasible due to a combination of business and personal factors:
- Financial Sustainability: Producing a small amount of raw milk while purchasing 90% of our milk for commercial supply no longer makes business or financial sense.
- Regulatory Risks & Workload: Raw milk regulations from MPI carry heavy compliance risks that make delegating tasks to staff difficult. Costs have also significantly increased over time. Furthermore, potential future restrictions-such as proposed raw milk bans if bird flu reaches our area-create significant long-term uncertainty.
- Family & Quality of Life: Since starting in 2017, our children have grown up and left home, and we can count on our hands the days off we’ve taken. Moving forward, we are simplifying our farm operations-transitioning toward beef cattle-to regain time for our family after years of 24/7 dedication.
Your Milk Supply Is Safe with Us
While our raw milk service is ending, our commitment to providing you with fresh, high-quality dairy remains unchanged. All of our pasteurised milk products will continue to be available as normal, including through our vending machine and home delivery services.
We process our pasteurised milk with the same care and high standards you’ve trusted for years, ensuring you still get farm-fresh, locally produced dairy every single week.

Have you got bottles already? If you have bottles purchased from Farm Fresh South already you can use these to leave out to be swapped. If you don't have any bottles you need to purchase them on your first order or if you don't have enough on subsequent orders. You can find them HERE.

We are extremely particular in regards to providing you the highest possible quality fresh milk. It is safe, however, MPI specifies that we must display the following statement:
Raw milk may contain harmful microorganisms that can cause serious illness. To reduce the risk of illness, raw milk should be heated to at least 70 °C for one minute. This is critical for infants, young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems.
